48 3D printed blades
This single-piece axial compressor blisk has 48 3D printed blades over a machined surface, making use of Meltio's Laser Metal Deposition (#LMD) technology. The stability of our process using commodity welding wire ensures impeccable applications every time! Not to mention that compared to integrally casting and machining this blisk from a solid piece of material, it is a lot less wasteful. This sphere has less surface per volume, resulting in less thermal loss over time. The inside also includes structural reinforcements.
