3D in Puerto Rico Schools Initiative
Rich Port 3D Solutions, a distributor of 3D printers in Puerto Rico, started a GOFUNDME.com initiative to put TEN 3D printers in schools across Puerto Rico. This initiative is extremely popular with Puerto Ricans as evidenced by the number of link likes on the Facebook post.
Dr Jenny Carrero, principal owner at Rich Port 3D Solutions is consulting with mayors and 3D enthusiasts all over Puerto Rico to get input on the schools that should receive a free 3D printer.
Once we have received all the school recommendations, Rich Port 3D Solutions will consult with each school to ensure that they have the necessary funds to pay for printer maintenance and plastic supplies before entering them into the competition.
“The selection process will be a lot of work but it will be worth it to ensure that Puerto Rico remains competitive on the world stage in education by paving the way for 3D printers to become standard in Puerto Rico schools“ -Dr. Jenny Carrero.
Rich Port 3D Solutions decided to utilize the fundraising website GoFundMe.com to raise funds for this ambitious initiative because it would allow anyone to easily participate in the process. This is the first time that GoFundME is being used to keep Puerto Rico schools competitive on the world stage by obtaining funding for 3D Printers.
“The money will come. Money always follows worthy causes and getting 3D printers in Puerto Rico is most definitively a worth cause!” -Dr Jenny Carrero
In order to help with this cause all someone has to do is go to http://www.gofundme.com/
If this fundraising effort is successful it will be the first time 3D printers have been donated on such a scale to Puerto Rico schools across the island.
