Dr Carrero, our principal consultant, received her PHD in Biophysics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where she acquired an extensive technical background working with lasers, spectrometers, confocal microscopes etc. After a career as a science liaison in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry she very easily segued into additive manufacturing. She is very passionate about helping Caribbean manufacturers compete on the world stage in additive manufacturing (industrial 3D printing technology) across all industries. She has been an invited speaker on additive manufacturing at major medical device companies, island-wide industrial meetings and universities and has organized several high profile additive manufacturing events in Puerto Rico. She is an authority on 3D printing for industrial and consumer use.
